"Microsoft 365 includes the most important set of tools for my customers"

I started using Microsoft 365, formally Office 365, in 2010 when it was a beta version and offered Microsoft Exchange as a hosted solution.

Back then most businesses used email solutions like Microsoft Exchange which ran on physical in-house Microsoft servers. These severs needed to be routinely updated to prevent security issues and maintained so they didn’t run low on storage etc. They would also stop running when external factors like electricity and internet were affected. My in-house servers took up useful storage space within my office and there was a loud noise from the fans in my server room.

Since then, Microsoft 365 has grown and now offers more than email solutions. It is now possible to store your files and folders in the "cloud" with OneDrive. OneDrive can be installed on smart phones, tablets and other devices including operating systems from Apple.

Active Directory (AD) has moved from and in-house solution to Azure AD which again is a hosted solution. Azure is instrumental in its collaboration with Microsoft 365 and other hosted software platforms that need to be web based but want single sign in to reduce the confusion of multiple usernames and passwords.

Microsoft 365 licences now include more integration with emails, files/folders and security.

The next big wave from Microsoft is the integration of telecommunication within Microsoft Teams. Whilst the UK is in second place to USA for the roll out of this advancement, it is already available, and I have already started porting my business customers telephone numbers to Microsoft Teams.
Whether you are an individual home user, or a business user Microsoft 365 will suit your needs.
